Harrisburg, PA native Dr. Jon Ludwig has been practicing restorative and cosmetic dentistry in Leland since 2008. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA and a Doctorate in Dentistry from Temple University in Philadelphia. Upon graduation, Dr. Ludwig began his dental career in Oregon. He then returned to the east coast and worked in 2 restorative-based practices in Connecticut, prior to moving to North Carolina. He owned and operated Aesthetic Dentistry of Magnolia Village until 2022 when Dr. Melissa Owen joined him as a partner. The practice was then transitioned to the ownership of Dr. Owen in 2026, where Dr. Ludwig remains on staff.

During a career that has spanned more than 20 years, Dr. Ludwig has cultivated a treatment philosophy that is patient-centered and relationship-based. His primary goal has always been to ensure that patients receive the best care possible. This has led him down a path of continuing education in fields such as advanced restorative techniques, restoration of dental implants and esthetics/cosmetics. He completed The Essentials Curriculum at The Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, FL from 2008-2012, and returns there periodically for their Focus coursework. He attained Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2009. And he has studied at The Scottsdale Center for Advanced Dentistry in Arizona, as well as staying active in several local dental study clubs.

Dr. Ludwig has been married to his beautiful wife, Jennifer, since 2003. The couple are avid competitors in Pickleball, which is a sport that has gained popularity over the years and is now well known throughout the country. They currently reside in Brunswick Forest, and are often spotted on the pickleball courts throughout the region when they are not in the office.
